84 Lumber is the Oakland branch (Store #928) of the family-owned lumber and building materials chain, located at 73 Francis Sanders Dr W on the north side of Oakland. It supplies contractors, builders and homeowners across the Deep Creek Lake area with the framing lumber and finish materials that go into new homes, additions and remodels.

84 Lumber was founded in 1956 by Joe Hardy and is still privately owned by the Hardy family, with headquarters in the town of Eighty Four, Pennsylvania, south of Pittsburgh. Over the decades it has grown into a network of stores, component plants, door shops and installation centers across much of the country, and that larger network stands behind the materials and specialty services the Oakland team can order in.
