About
Absolutely Shore is a 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath lakefront vacation home of about 3,400 square feet on a quiet cove of Deep Creek Lake that sleeps 12. Owners Rick and Amy rent it directly rather than through a rental manager, and the level yard and quiet street make it an easy fit for families with kids.
Inside the House
The bedrooms are named with a nautical theme. The Admiral (primary) has a king bed, its own full bath and a sliding door to the lower deck; the Captain also has a king and a door to the lower deck; the Commander has a queen. The Deck Crew room is set up for kids and cousins, with a mix of bunks including a triple bunk. A Murphy bed in the upstairs living room adds one more spot. Each bedroom has a Smart TV.
Downstairs, a game room with a pool table and bar gives everyone somewhere to gather on rainy days. The home has two fireplaces, central air and heat, and a kitchen with double appliances, ice makers, a K-cup machine, a drip coffee maker and a crock-pot. Families with little ones will find a Pack 'n Play, booster seat, two highchairs, and children's books and toys, though the house is not child-proofed.
Outdoor Spaces and Lake Access
- Large private dock that holds two boats, available through the summer months
- Hot tub, fire pit with firewood included, and gas grills
- Upper deck, lower patio and a porch swing
- Playground and basketball hoop in the backyard
The stay includes a Maryland State Park pass for one vehicle, which covers park entry and boat launching at the state park ramp, which the owners say is about 4 miles away.
