About
Adobe Acrobat is Adobe's document platform for creating, editing, signing and managing PDFs, available on desktop, on the web and on mobile. Acrobat is sold to individuals, students and teachers, and businesses of every size.
Everyday PDF Tools
Adobe describes Acrobat as a set of PDF tools for handling documents from start to finish:
- Edit text and images, rearrange content and organize pages
- Create PDFs and convert Microsoft files and images to and from PDF
- Request e-signatures, track their status and set reminders
- Turn scanned paper documents into searchable, editable PDFs
- Add passwords and permissions, and redact sensitive data
Acrobat Reader, the app for opening and viewing PDFs, sits alongside the subscription plans.
Plans and AI Features
Acrobat comes in Standard, Pro and Studio versions. Pro adds tools such as PDF comparison, redaction and bulk e-signature sending, and Studio adds PDF Spaces, AI Assistant for Acrobat and Adobe Express Premium. AI Assistant lets you use everyday language to convert files, make quick edits and ask questions about a document. Adobe says it does not use your documents to train AI models. A subscription includes the desktop software, Acrobat online tools in a browser, the Acrobat Reader mobile app and the Adobe Scan app, and Acrobat connects with Microsoft 365, Dropbox, Google Drive and Adobe Creative Cloud.
