Blair's By the Lake

Blair's By the Lake is a men's and women's clothing store at 24541 Garrett Highway in McHenry, set in the former Truist Bank building near Deep Creek Lake. It's a place to find everything from lake-weekend casual wear to a suit for a wedding, without driving out of the county.

Clothing for Men

The store began with the goal of bringing a dedicated men's clothing shop back to Deep Creek Lake, after investors approached owner Blair Glass about the need for men's fashion in Garrett County. The men's side covers dress and tailored clothing, casual and leisure wear, denim, furnishings, footwear, accessories and swimwear, with brands such as Born Primitive, Flag & Anthem, Fusion Golf, Haggar, Nunn Bush, Life Is Good, Old Guys Rule, Mountaineer Brand and Eisenberg suits. For weddings, business events and other occasions you can arrange custom suits and formal attire, and formalwear rentals are available too.

Clothing for Women

Women will find dress and casual clothing, denim, outerwear, swimwear, footwear, handbags, jewelry and accessories, plus Ray-Ban sunglasses. Lines include Charlie B, Tribal, Apricot and Amsterdam Heritage, along with Atelier jewelry, and staff who specialize in women's apparel help put the selection together.

A New Home on Garrett Highway

Blair's first opened at The Fort in McHenry. When a larger, more visible space came up, the store moved into the former bank building on Garrett Highway, opening there in April 2026.
