Camp Kindred

Camp Kindred is a dog-friendly, 5-bedroom log cabin with 5.5 baths on Wisp Mountain in McHenry that sleeps 14, managed by The Camp Collection. Four king suites and a bunk room make it a good match for multi-generation families or a few couples travelling with kids. The cabin is at 277 Winding Estates Dr, McHenry, MD 21541.

Inside the House

The main floor has a Great Room with a large sofa and swivel chairs, a dining area with a farmhouse table for ten, and a modern cabin kitchen with an island that seats six, two ovens and a gas range. A loft workspace overlooks the Great Room.

• A basement bunk room with two queens and two single beds, sharing a bath with the game room
• A laundry room with an iron and ironing board

The Deer Den and Outdoor Spaces

Downstairs, the Deer Den is a second great room with shuffleboard, a foosball coffee table, a gas fireplace, board games and a wet bar with a second full-size fridge. Outside you'll find a covered porch with a rocking chair, a hot tub, a fire pit with polywood chairs, hammocks under café lights, and three disc golf baskets in the backyard, plus cornhole and bocce.

Good to Know

Dogs are welcome, and the house keeps a washable couch blanket and a paw towel on hand. The Camp Collection lists Wisp Main Lodge about 8 minutes away, Shop 'n Save about 10 minutes and the state park about 22 minutes.
