Campfire Cottage is a dog-friendly, 3-bedroom, 2-bath home in Swanton's Beckman's Peninsula community on the south end of Deep Creek Lake that sleeps seven, managed by Railey Vacations. It's a cozy, manageable size for a small family or two couples, with a wooded setting and a dock slip for your boat in season. The cottage is at 80 Glenarm Way, Swanton, MD 21561.
Inside the House
The main level has the kitchen, a dining room and a Great Room built around a stone gas fireplace, along with two queen bedrooms and a full bath with a shower/tub. Upstairs, a loft with a queen sleeper sofa sits beside a king suite with its own shower bath. Mini-split air conditioning serves the Great Room and bedrooms, and the house has four smart TVs and an all-in-one washer/dryer.
Outdoor Spaces and Lake Access
A porch with rocking chairs, a deck and a large yard give everyone room outside, along with a hot tub, a wood-burning fire pit (bring your own firewood) and a gas grill. Community lake access is about half a mile from the home at the end of Glenlake Road, and the rental includes a dock slip for one motorized boat; Railey notes docks are guaranteed only from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Boat trailer parking isn't permitted at the house.
Good to Know
Up to two dogs are welcome under Railey's pet policy. Beckman's Peninsula has no shared community amenities, and Railey recommends 4WD/AWD or snow tires from November through March.
