Carmel Cove

Carmel Cove is a 10-bedroom, 10-bath home in the Carmel Cove community on the south end of Deep Creek Lake near Swanton that sleeps 20, managed by Railey Vacations. Every bedroom is a suite with its own bath, which makes it a practical fit for large family reunions and corporate retreats where each couple or colleague wants a private room. The house sits on a wooded two-acre lot at 105 Monastery Way, Swanton, MD 21561 and was run for years as a bed-and-breakfast lodge before becoming a rental.

Inside the House

The main level has six of the bedrooms, an oversized kitchen, a dining room and a living area with a pool table; the other four bedrooms and the laundry are on the lower level. Several bedrooms open onto private decks, and three have jetted tubs. The kitchen is set up for a crowd, with three ovens, two dishwashers, two microwaves and two coffee makers, and there's a common room for movie nights. Smart TVs with streaming are in every room, and a mesh Wi-Fi system covers the house. A removable ramp runs from the common room to the hallway for wheelchair access.

Outdoor Spaces and Lake Access

• Outdoor hot tub and wood-burning fire pit
• Two gas grills and an outdoor dining table
• Community tennis and pickleball courts, with equipment at the house
• Parking for up to 14 vehicles

A wooded lake access path leads from the home to a community swim platform with a ladder, used for swimming, fishing and launching kayaks. There's no dock slip, and boats can't tie up at the swim platform. Railey describes Deep Creek Lake State Park's day-use area as about a two-minute drive and Wisp Resort as about 10 minutes away.
