About
Castle on the Cove is an 8-bedroom, 8.5-bath home in the Stilwater community near Swanton that sleeps 18, managed by Railey Vacations. With a private indoor pool, a home theater and a dock slip, it's set up for family reunions and milestone celebrations where the group wants plenty to do without leaving the property. The house is at 14 Stilwater Dr, Swanton, MD 21561.
Inside the House
The main level has the living and dining areas, kitchen, a powder room, two king suites with separate tubs, and the indoor pool room. The next level up has a loft and sitting area, a queen suite and a king suite that both open to private balconies, another king suite and the laundry; a king bedroom and a queen bedroom share a full bath on the top level. Downstairs is a second living area with a wet bar and pool table, a powder room and the theater with a projector screen.
There's a lot to keep a group busy indoors:
- Game table for air hockey, ping-pong and pool, plus foosball, shuffleboard and a poker table
- Gas and wood fireplaces
- Two jetted tubs and a steam shower
- A business center, book library, reading nook, board games and puzzles
- Smart TVs with streaming, and a wine cooler in the kitchen
Outdoor Spaces and Lake Access
Outside you'll find an outdoor hot tub, an outdoor fireplace, a wood-burning fire pit, a basketball hoop, and gas and charcoal grills. The lake access and dock slip are at the end of Stilwater Drive, where a small parking circle leads to a path down to the water. The slip takes one motorized and one non-motorized boat, and Railey guarantees docks only from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Stilwater also has a community canoe and kayak station.
Good to Know
Pets aren't permitted, and rentals are for family groups only. Parking holds eight vehicles; boat trailer parking isn't allowed. Railey recommends four-wheel drive, all-wheel drive or snow tires from November through March, and firewood isn't provided.
