Collette is a guided-tour company headquartered on Middle Street in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Jack Collette started the company in 1918, and its first tour was a jitney bus of travelers from Boston to Florida. Tours through New England and into Canada followed, and in 1927 the company moved its base of operations to Providence, Rhode Island.
A Family Company
In 1962 Jack Collette sold the company to Dan Sullivan Sr. and his brother-in-law, Arthur McWilliam. Dan Sullivan Jr. became President and CEO in 1990, and in 2023 his daughter, Jaclyn Leibl-Cote, became CEO. Collette's press kit describes it as a family-run business now in its third generation of family ownership, with offices in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.
Tours
Collette offers more than 170 guided tours to all seven continents, including small group explorations, with travel styles such as single hotel stays, faith-based experiences, river cruises and rail journeys. The company says its tours are designed by regionally based teams and led by local tour guides, and bookings include a travel protection plan option, and private chauffeur service to and from the airport. Trips can be reserved directly with Collette or through a travel agent.
