Cove Creek Lodge is a boutique hotel on Arrowhead Cove of Deep Creek Lake, at 19638 Garrett Hwy in the Oakland area. Its 29 rooms and suites suit couples, families and friends who want to stay right on the water with a kayak or paddleboard close at hand.
From the Inn at Deep Creek to Cove Creek
The building was long known as the Inn at Deep Creek, and before that the Alpine Village Inn. New owners renovated it top to bottom with modern rustic furnishings and reopened it as Cove Creek Lodge in June 2024, with a Garrett County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting that month. A year later, the Garrett County Commissioners marked its first anniversary with a proclamation noting that the project saved and improved an existing building.
Rooms and Suites
- Every room has a kitchenette with microwave and mini-fridge, a Keurig coffee maker, a smart TV and a walk-in shower.
- Some rooms add a full kitchen with a full-size fridge, two-burner stove and dining table, which helps on longer stays.
- Several rooms have a fireplace, and rooms come with a patio, deck or outdoor sitting area; the lakeside fireplace rooms have vaulted wood ceilings and deck chairs facing the cove.
- Dog-friendly rooms are available; read the lodge's pet policy, which includes breed restrictions.
On the Property
There is a heated outdoor pool, patio grills, a firepit overlooking the lake, tabletop shuffleboard and quiet nooks to read in. Kayaks and paddleboards are free for guests to use from the front desk. The Black Antler Lounge serves craft cocktails, beer and cider and is open to hotel guests only.
