Dairy Queen Grill & Chill

Dairy Queen Grill & Chill is DQ's full-menu restaurant format in Oakland, at 12740 Garrett Hwy (US 219). It serves both sides of the DQ menu, hot food and soft-serve treats, so it works for a quick meal or just a cone on the way into or out of town.

On the Menu

The grill side covers burgers, fries and chicken; the treat side is DQ's soft serve, from cones and sundaes to Blizzard Treats, which the company introduced in 1985. This location also offers DQ cakes, handy when you need a birthday cake for a lake-house weekend.

Ways to Eat

You can eat inside, sit at the outdoor seating when the weather is good, or use the drive-thru. Dairy Queen opened its first restaurant in Joliet, Illinois, in 1940, and most DQ restaurants in the United States are individually owned and operated franchises.
