Deep Creek Mountain Utilities (DCMU) supplies propane through underground lines to homes and commercial businesses on Wisp Mountain, so customers on the system receive gas on demand without placing delivery orders.
System
- More than 20 miles of underground pipeline feeding multiple communities, with room to extend the line as new homes are built.
- 90,000 gallons of storage in three 30,000-gallon tanks, with two vaporizing units.
- Serves 14 communities and 4 commercial customers.

Residential communities include Biltmore, Greenbrier, Highline, Highline II, Overlook Villas, Fantasy Valley, Lago Vista, Sandy Shores Heights, Lodestone, Kendall Camp, North Camp, North Camp Ridge, Deep Creek Highlands and White Water Village. Commercial customers include Wisp Resort, The Lodge at Wisp, Adventure Sports Center International and Lodestone Golf Course.
For customers
New homeowners on the system call to set up service and sign a standard service agreement, with automatic payment available. Contractors building on the system call 811 for a utility marking, then contact DCMU to schedule a meter set. An online customer portal is available for accounts.
