Deep Creek Retreats

Deep Creek Retreats is a family-owned collection of rental homes around Deep Creek Lake, led by Bracken Lodge, a five-bedroom log home on 30 private acres at 557 Bracken Drive in Swanton. The owners book their homes directly, which suits families and groups who like to deal with the people who own the house.

The Homes

• Bracken Lodge sleeps 14, with four suites that have private full baths plus a bunk room, a main-floor family room with floor-to-ceiling views, a hot tub and fire pit. Railey Vacations lists it in the Loch Glade community with a community dock slip for one motorized boat and a separate access point on Traci Lane for kayaks and paddleboards.
• Lake Effect is a lakefront, dog-friendly home that sleeps 12, with a private dock and hot tub.
• Woodlore is a smaller cottage that sleeps 8, with a wood-burning fireplace, a finished basement and a hot tub.
• Caddyshack sleeps 14 and offers golf and lake access.
• Rose Hill Farm is a 150-acre property with a three-bedroom farmhouse and a finished basement, updated in 2026.

Booking Direct

The owners live in Annapolis and started the business out of a love for the lake and a wish to share it. You can request dates on their website, which links to each home's listing, and the owners note that Wisp Resort is about 10 minutes from their retreats for skiing and snowboarding. Bracken Lodge is also bookable through Railey Vacations.

Browse the homes on the Deep Creek Retreats website, then call or email the owners with questions about dates and lake access.
