Deep Creek Volunteer Fire Company

Deep Creek Volunteer Fire Company is the volunteer fire company that runs the station at 1906 Deep Creek Dr in McHenry, known as Company 30. It has served Garrett County and the surrounding area since 1966. In an emergency, always call 9-1-1; the station number below is for general questions only.

What the Company Does

The company describes its work as protecting people and communities through a team of volunteers. Its services include:

• Fire rescue and fire suppression
• Water rescue and ice rescue

For property owners and insurers, the company's contact page offers a downloadable summary of its fire and rescue services for questions about fire response and insurance coverage.

Volunteers and Community Support

Everyone who answers a call is a volunteer, and the company says the community that supports them is what makes them strong. If you are interested in joining, the contact page invites you to get in touch.

The company also raises money through community fundraisers it publishes on its site, such as the Red Line Motorcycle Ride, an escorted ride held at the station with food, a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction, and it holds an annual awards banquet for its members. Proceeds go toward equipment, training and improvements for the firefighters. Donations can be made through the website and are tax-deductible.

Staying in Touch

The company posts news on its blog and shares updates on Facebook and Instagram, and you can join its mailing list from the website.

If you own or rent a place near the lake and want to support the people who respond to it, a donation or a visit to one of their fundraisers is a simple way to help.
