About
The Deep Creek Watershed Foundation works to preserve and protect the Deep Creek watershed. Its mission is to support, promote and advance scientific study, environmental protection and educational programs for the watershed around Deep Creek Lake. Bob Hoffmann is the foundation's president.
Projects and resources
The foundation runs ongoing watershed projects and supports the Deep Creek Watershed Management Plan, which was adopted in 2016. Its website shows live lake conditions from a USGS station, including the water level and water temperature, and links to a live webcam at Lakeside Creamery. There is also a video library with interviews with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, local specialists, board members and officials, and a Kids Zone of watershed activities.
