About
Energy Select is an energy solutions company that was founded in Southern Maryland and has an office in Cumberland in Western Maryland, alongside its Leonardtown location. The company works on both sides of energy use: saving it through conservation measures and producing it through solar.
Its services include residential, commercial and farm solar panel systems, solar panel removal and reinstallation, operations and maintenance for solar arrays, solar battery backup systems, energy-efficient LED lighting for commercial spaces, EV charger installation and energy analysis. Energy Select describes an integrated approach that starts with an energy audit to find conservation opportunities such as LED lighting upgrades, air sealing or added insulation, then recommends production solutions such as solar arrays sized around those measures. The team also manages rebates and incentives for customers.
Energy Select lists Garrett County among the Maryland counties it serves, together with Allegany, Washington, Frederick and several Southern Maryland counties, and it also works in parts of Virginia and in Preston County, West Virginia. The company is a member-owner of the Amicus Solar Cooperative, a group of solar companies that work together.
