Eric Paugh Contracting is a full-service building contractor serving Garrett and Allegany counties, with much of its work at and around Deep Creek Lake. Owner Eric Paugh and his team handle everything from small remodeling jobs to major renovations and new homes, including log homes.
Experience Built From the Ground Up
Eric Paugh started in construction in 1987 as a laborer and quickly moved up to foreman. In 1993 he completed a four-year apprenticeship with Associated Builders and Contractors and graduated as a journeyman carpenter, then gained residential and commercial experience as a foreman before starting his own business in 1999 as a licensed Maryland home improvement contractor. His firm built a 4,000-square-foot Deep Creek Lake vacation home featured in Home & Design magazine, including the custom millwork inside.

The company has experience building on rough lots and steep mountain slopes, including at Deep Creek Mountain Resort, and pays close attention to retaining walls and drainage. It also works with outside architects and designers if you already have one.
