Espresso Alley

Espresso Alley is a drive-thru coffee shop at 25901 Garrett Hwy in McHenry, at the junction of Route 42 and Route 219. Established in 2022, it was described by Garrett County as Deep Creek Lake's first drive-thru coffee shop, and it's built for people who want a good drink without getting out of the car on the way to the lake or to work.

What's on the Menu

The drink list covers the full coffee-shop range:

• Fresh-brewed coffee and espresso
• Lattes and cold brew
• Frappés
• Italian sodas
• Smoothies

That mix means there's something for the non-coffee drinkers in the car as well, and the drive-thru setup keeps things quick when you're juggling kids, dogs or a boat trailer.

A Second Spot on Sang Run Road

In 2025 Espresso Alley added a sister concept, Espresso Alley: Hot 2 Go, a pink vintage-inspired coffee camper stationed at 7790 Sang Run Road in McHenry. The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce and the county's Department of Business Development held a ribbon cutting for it in August 2025. The camper serves fresh-brewed coffee, specialty drinks and snacks, and can travel to private events such as weddings, bachelorette parties, birthdays and baby showers, so it's worth a call if you're planning a celebration at the lake.
