Faith Church

Faith Church is an Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA) congregation at 1009 Maryland Hwy in Oakland, on the road toward Mountain Lake Park. With more than 125 years of history in the area, it welcomes people from every background and stage of faith, describing itself as a family of "normal, broken people in need of God's grace."

A Long History, an EFCA Church

The congregation has been part of the Evangelical Free Church of America for about 40 years and belongs to the EFCA's Allegheny District. Its mission is built on the Great Commission: making disciples, teaching them to grow, and sending local and global missionaries. Lead Pastor Dennis Dimitrov and a team of elders guide the church.

Something for Every Age

Sunday mornings start with Sunday School for all ages, followed by worship with a nursery for little ones and kids' church for ages 4 to 7. Through the week there's more:

• Pioneer Clubs for ages 2 through 6th grade, with songs, crafts and lessons from fall through spring
• Youth Group for 7th through 12th graders, plus a BSF teen Bible study
• Brotherhood, a men's group with a monthly breakfast, and Mary & Martha Ministries, the women's group with service projects
• A summer Sports Camp for ages 4 to 12 that mixes sports instruction with Bible teaching
