Fallingwater is the Frank Lloyd Wright–designed house museum in Mill Run, Pennsylvania, located on PA Route 381 between the towns of Mill Run and Ohiopyle, about 1.5 hours from downtown Pittsburgh. It is owned and operated by the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy and is celebrating 90 years.
The site recently completed a three-year preservation project, World Heritage Preserved. Exhibitions draw on the Fallingwater Archive and the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation Archive, and the Fallingwater Institute offers educational programs, along with webinars, retreats and a design challenge for students eight to 13.
On site, the Fallingwater Museum Store sells official Fallingwater merchandise and design items inspired by the Kaufmann family, with purchases supporting Fallingwater's operations. The Fallingwater Café serves a locally inspired seasonal menu, and The Barn at Fallingwater hosts weddings, receptions, meetings and conferences. A Friends of Fallingwater membership supports preservation of the house.
