FireFly Farms Market is the market and cheese bar of FireFly Farms, at 309 S Main St in Accident, just down the street from the company's creamery. You can stop in for cheese, wine and provisions, order a platter, or book a guided pairing.
Cheese and Provisions
The cheese case carries FireFly Farms' own handmade cheeses, made at the creamery steps away, along with other American and European cheeses. The shelves also hold:
- Cured and frozen meats
- Jams, jellies and tapenades
- Crackers and breads
- Local artisan gifts, from live-wood cutting boards to watercolors
The cheese bar makes platters and boards to order for gatherings, and you can enjoy a cheeseboard while you shop.
Wine, Pairings and Events
The market sells wine and craft beer by the bottle and wine by the glass, with a rotating selection of featured wines. You can book a guided cheese and wine pairing, and the market hosts dinners, pairings and cheesemaking classes through the year. A semi-private alcove at the back seats 14 guests for showers, retirement parties and receptions.
A Creamery With Roots in Accident
FireFly Farms started making cheese in 2002 with a small herd of goats in an old red barn down the road from Accident. The creamery now sources milk from local family farms.
