Fit With Jen

Fit With Jen is a group exercise and personal training studio run by Jen Sober at 19509 Garrett Hwy Unit 8 in Dry Dock Plaza, Oakland. It serves the Deep Creek Lake and Garrett County community with all-levels classes, from people just starting out to experienced athletes.

Classes and Training

The studio's schedule centres on group classes, and you can adjust the intensity up or down in any of them, so mixed ages and abilities train side by side. Classes the studio has highlighted include:

• Body Sculpt, a non-impact strength class
• Spinning (indoor cycling)
• Kickboxing
• Yoga

Beyond group classes, Jen offers one-on-one personal training with a routine built around your goals, and running and triathlon coaching for beginners and advanced athletes. Out-of-town clients can join classes virtually, and in late spring and early fall the studio has taken conditioning sessions outdoors at Deep Creek Lake State Park.

A Studio Built on Experience

Jen brings roughly 30 years in the fitness industry, including teaching in large studios in New York and Washington, DC, before settling in Garrett County. She is a certified Spinning instructor and TRX leader, holds ACE group fitness certification, and is a runner and triathlete herself. She opened Fit With Jen in February 2020, moved to virtual classes within days when the pandemic closed studios, and held the official grand opening in Dry Dock Plaza in July 2021.
