Front Page Stage is an outdoor performance space in downtown Oakland, part of the Garrett County Arts Council's property at 108 South Second Street alongside The Gallery Shop. It sits within the Oakland Arts & Entertainment District and is used for concerts and community arts gatherings.
Part of the Arts Council's Second Street Hub
In 2026 the Garrett County Arts Council received a state grant to help acquire the Second Street property that includes The Gallery Shop, Front Page Stage and the neighbouring parking lots. The council says the site already hosts arts and cultural activities through the year, and its plans for the space include performances, exhibitions, workshops and cultural events. Past programming has included an Arts & Entertainment District fundraising concert on the stage to close out the council's Play Music on the Porch Day.
Before You Go
The lot beside the stage is a private, contracted parking area with reserved spaces, so plan to park elsewhere downtown. Upcoming performances are posted on the Arts Council's event calendar, and The Gallery Shop next door is the place to ask questions in person.
