Funland

Funland is a rain-or-shine family fun center at 24450 Garrett Highway (Route 219), McHenry, MD 21541, on the main road through the Deep Creek Lake area. It mixes an indoor arcade with outdoor rides and games, so it works as a break from the lake for kids of different ages.

Rides, Games and Golf

• An 18-hole miniature golf course, plus Junior Golf for ages 4 to 11
• Go-karts on two tracks, with single-seat karts for drivers at least 54 inches tall and two-seat karts where an adult driver can take a younger passenger
• Bumper cars for riders 42 inches and taller
• A climbing wall for climbers 40 pounds and up
• A carousel, where an adult can ride along with a small child
• An indoor arcade with current games and tickets you can redeem for prizes

The height and weight rules mean younger kids can still join in through Junior Golf, the carousel and the passenger seat of a two-seat kart.

Pizza and Parties

DC Pizza operates at the same Route 219 address, so you can grab food between rounds; it has its own line at (301) 387-6600. Funland hosts birthday parties and offers group rates, and picnic tables are available for family outings.

The outdoor rides are weather-dependent and the season shifts through the year, so call ahead if you're planning a party or a group visit.
