About
The Garrett Choral Society is a non-profit, volunteer community chorus based in Oakland, now in its 47th year of singing. About 40 singers make up the group, which is directed by Dr. Sean Beachy and Debi Beachy, and it welcomes new voices as well as audiences.
Rehearsals and Concerts
The chorus rehearses weekly in the spring and fall at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Oakland, working toward a Christmas program and a spring concert each year. The Christmas concerts are held at St. Mark's, while the spring concert has been staged in the Daniel Offutt III Theatre in the Performing Arts Center at Garrett College in McHenry.
Joining the Chorus
All are welcome to join as singers or to come as audience members. The group is supported in part by the Maryland State Arts Council and the Garrett County Arts Council.
