About
Garrett County Goldens is a small family breeder on a farm near Swanton, run by Ben and Joanna Peight, raising standard and English Cream Golden Retriever puppies. It is for families looking for an AKC-registered Golden who want to know how and where their puppy was raised.
How the Puppies Are Raised
The Peights started the kennel out of their love for the breed, and the puppies grow up on the farm with daily one-on-one time and regular socialization with children and other dogs. That early handling helps a puppy settle more easily into a busy household. The website has pages introducing the parent dogs and explaining the different Golden Retriever coat colors, which is helpful if you are deciding between a standard and an English Cream Golden.
Every puppy is AKC registered and goes home with its required vaccinations, a thorough vet check and a One Year Genetic Health Guarantee; the full terms are posted on the website.

- Puppies stay on the farm until they are fully weaned and at least eight weeks old, then pickup or delivery is arranged
- Drop-off can be arranged further afield on request, with a quote from the breeder
