About
Garrett County Kings Run Refuse & Recycling Site is one of six refuse and recycling collection sites run by the Garrett County Solid Waste & Recycling Division, located a quarter mile east of Rt. 219 outside Oakland. The county lists it as the Kings Run Site.
What Residents Can Bring
The site is for Garrett County residents, property owners and visitors disposing of normal household trash and one individual piece of furniture per visit, such as a mattress set or a couch, generated from a home in the county. A county refuse permit on the vehicle or individual bag stickers are required. Non-refrigerant appliances such as water heaters, stoves, washers and dryers are accepted with a bulk item sticker.
