About
Goodwill Retirement Community is a continuing care retirement community on Dorsey Hotel Road, about one mile north of Grantsville. Its campus brings independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing together in one place, so residents can plan their living arrangements early and stay in the same community as their needs change.
Three Levels of Living
- Independent Living: the Retirement Village offers one- and two-bedroom residences on a lifetime lease, for people who want an active life without the upkeep of a house.
- Assisted Living: apartments with courtyards, 24-hour personal care assistance, medication management and administration, and housekeeping.
- Nursing and Memory Care: the skilled nursing home, Goodwill Mennonite Home, includes a secured memory care unit and physical, occupational and speech therapy.
How the Community Works
Goodwill is a fee-for-service community, which means a resident can enter at any level and pays only for the services they receive. The goal is to let residents age in place. An activities program is run by a staff member, with a certified occupational therapist consulted as needed.
The community describes its mission as caring for each person with dignity regardless of their needs, under the motto "Caring through Good Will with God's love."
