Hair N' Phernalia

Hair N' Phernalia is a hometown hair and nail salon at 104 E Oak St, Suite 4, in downtown Oakland. It covers everything from quick buzz cuts and beard trims to color, perms and extensions, along with manicures and pedicures, so the whole family can be looked after in one place.

Hair Services

The salon's menu goes well beyond a basic trim. Services include:

• Women's, men's and children's haircuts, beard trims, buzz cuts and bang trims
• Blow-dries, styling and updos for special occasions
• All-over color and root touch-ups, men's color, foil highlights and lowlights, cap highlights and balayage
• Color correction, with test strands available
• Perms, spiral perms and men's perms
• Conditioning and hard water treatments
• Consultations for Bellami hair extensions, covering color match, length and extension type

The hard water treatment is worth knowing about if your well or tap water leaves your hair dull, and the extension consultation helps you plan before committing to a full install.

Nails, Feet and Waxing

On the nail side, Hair N' Phernalia offers basic and gel manicures, structure gel, Gel X, full sets of acrylics and fill-ins, nail art, repairs and soak-offs. Pedicures run from basic to spa pedicures, with children's manicures and pedicures too. Facial waxing rounds out the menu, and gift certificates are available.

You can also call the salon. Hair N' Phernalia asks for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel, and buy-now-pay-later is available in person for larger bookings.
