Hammel Glade Builders

Hammel Glade Builders is a residential building and remodeling company based at 951 Foster Road in Oakland. It handles kitchens, luxury bathrooms, home additions and custom millwork for homeowners around Oakland and Garrett County, and it does much of the work with locally sourced hardwood it fells and mills in-house.

Kitchens, Baths and Additions

Most projects start with a room that no longer works for you. Hammel Glade remodels bathrooms with full updates, modern layouts and better function, and designs and installs kitchens, whether that means one room or a whole-house renovation. They also build custom home additions, following a process that runs from consultation and planning through design and construction, and they keep the client informed at every stage.

Millwork From Local Hardwood

What sets the company apart is its in-house millwork and cabinetry. Hammel Glade fells and mills its own local hardwood and carries each piece from first design to final installation, so trim, built-ins and cabinets are made for your space rather than ordered from a catalog. They describe this as part of a commitment to sustainable building.

Finishing the Rest of the House

Beyond the big rooms, the team also handles:

• Siding, windows and doors
• Decks and railings
• Hardwood, laminate, vinyl and tile flooring

The business is run by Dave and Nakita, who bring more than 50 years of combined experience. Their website has a portfolio of finished work, which is a good place to start before you call to talk through your project.
