About
Harvest House is a farm-rooted restaurant, bar, coffee shop and gathering space at 2132 Friendsville Road in Friendsville. It serves brunch and dinner built around microgreens grown on site, alongside cocktails, local beer, coffee and live music.
Food From the Grow Room
Harvest House grows more than 15 varieties of microgreens in soil and harvests them by hand, from broccoli, kale and red cabbage to pea shoots, micro herbs and edible flowers. You'll find them across the menu, which changes with the seasons and uses ingredients from local farmers and makers. Brunch runs to dishes like breakfast sandwiches, bagel and lox and French toast, while dinner offers shareables, salads, grain bowls and pressed sandwiches. The menu marks gluten-free and vegan options, and there is a kids' menu. An on-site grow room gives you a look at where some of the food begins, and the restaurant also takes wholesale microgreen orders.
The Story
The owners started with a small family farm and a few trays of microgreens. They spent years living and working in Tanzania with the Peace Corps, which shaped how they cook and think about food and community. They built Harvest House from the ground up.
Before You Go
There is an outdoor space for evenings, a coffee bar with espresso drinks, and a calendar of workshops and special events.
