About
Journey's End is an 8-bedroom lakefront chalet at 312 Paradise Heights, Oakland, MD 21550 that sleeps 26, managed by Railey Vacations. Every bedroom is a suite with its own bath, and the house has 8 full and 2 half baths in all, so it suits large family reunions and multi-family groups who want everyone under one roof without a morning queue for the shower.
Inside the House
The cedar-and-stone chalet has two gas fireplaces and is laid out over three levels:
- Main level: living and dining areas, kitchen, laundry, a half bath and two king suites
- Upper level: two king suites, each with a daybed and trundle, plus a loft game room with a queen sleeper sofa
- Lower level: four queen suites, a family room with a wet bar, a sauna, a second laundry and a half bath
The kitchen is doubled up for a big group, with two dishwashers, two full-size refrigerators, two ovens and two stoves. For downtime there's a pool table, air hockey, foosball and board games, and the house has two jetted tubs inside.
Outdoor Spaces and Lake Access
The home sits on private lakefront in the Paradise Heights community on the southeast side of Deep Creek Lake, with a private dock slip that takes two motorized boats; Railey notes that docks are guaranteed from Memorial Day through Labor Day, and water equipment such as kayaks is not provided. Outside you'll find two hot tubs, a seasonal screened porch, two gas grills, an outdoor dining table and a wood-burning fire pit (bring or buy your own firewood). Railey lists lake, mountain and wooded views.
