Keylock

Keylock is a full-service locksmith and security shop at 17869 Garrett Highway, Suite E, Oakland, MD 21550, between Oakland and Deep Creek Lake. It helps homeowners, businesses and drivers across Garrett County and the surrounding region with locks, keys, safes and security systems.

Lock, Key and Safe Services

Keylock goes well beyond cutting a spare house key. The team can:

• Let you into a locked home, business or vehicle and replace lost keys
• Rekey locks, create master key systems and make new keys for old locks
• Remove broken keys and open lost-code combination locks
• Handle high-security keys and most laser-cut auto keys
• Open safes, padlocks, electronic locks, safe deposit boxes, and locks on boats, ATVs and motorcycles

Safes are the shop's featured product, with gun safes, vault doors, office, depository, floor and wall, and fire and burglary safes from brands such as Hollon, Cobalt, Gardall, Sun Welding, American Security and Fort Knox, in stock or by special order.

Security Systems and In-Store Hardware

For homes and businesses, Keylock installs camera systems, wireless and monitored alarms, access control and smart-device automation, including the 2GIG system. The shop also stocks door hardware, padlocks and Ballistol oil, so it is worth a visit if you need a part.

A Locksmith With Local Roots

Owner Eric Bowser is a Garrett County native who began his locksmith career in Grantsville in 1986 and founded Keylock in 1997. His first walk-in store opened on Route 42 in McHenry in 2003, moved to Oakland in 2012, and relocated in 2017 to the larger Garrett Highway facility. The service area reaches Cumberland and Westernport in Maryland and Morgantown, Keyser, Kingwood and Terra Alta in West Virginia.
