About
Lake 'N Logs is a 5-bedroom, 3.5-bath lakefront chalet at 548 White Oak Drive, Swanton, MD 21561 that sleeps 14, managed by Railey Vacations as part of its Signature Collection. It sits in the Beckman's Peninsula community on the south end of Deep Creek Lake and suits families and multi-generation groups who want water access and plenty of indoor games.
Inside the House
The great room and kitchen are furnished for gathering, and the kitchen has two dishwashers plus a wine fridge and mini fridge alongside the full-size refrigerator. Sleeping is spread over three levels:
- Main level: a king suite with its own bath
- Upper level: two king bedrooms, one with a twin sleeper chair, and a loft with a pool table
- Lower level: a king bedroom, a bunk room with two sets of twin bunks, and a family room with a queen sleeper sofa and wet bar
For rainy days there's foosball, shuffleboard, a karaoke machine, a telescope, board games and puzzles, and a gas fireplace.
Outdoor Spaces and Lake Access
The home borders the state-owned buffer strip with no road between the house and the water, and a private dock at the end of the property takes two motorized and two non-motorized boats; Railey notes that docks are guaranteed from Memorial Day through Labor Day and water equipment is not provided. The covered back porch has a wood-burning outdoor fireplace, an outdoor TV and seating facing the lake, and there's a large back deck, a hot tub, a gas grill and a fire pit.
Good to Know
- Pets are not permitted, and the home is non-smoking.
- Railey rents it to family groups only, with parking for five vehicles and no boat-trailer parking.
- Four-wheel drive, all-wheel drive or snow tires are recommended from November through March.
- Railey's distance list puts Deep Creek Lake State Park about 1.9 miles away.
