Lakewood Resorts is a small lakefront timeshare community at 22181 Garrett Highway in McHenry, with 11 townhome-style units on Deep Creek Lake. It's a good fit for families and groups of friends who want a full house with a kitchen, a deck over the water and a boat slip, with Wisp Resort just minutes away.
The Units
Every unit has lake views and three floor plans cover the 11 units:
- Unit 1: four bedrooms (including a loft) and three full bathrooms
- Units 2–8: three bedrooms (one is a loft space), three bathrooms and a reading nook
- Units 9–11: three bedrooms (one is an open loft) and three full bathrooms, including one on the main floor
Each unit comes fully furnished with a fully equipped kitchen (full-size refrigerator, dishes, coffee maker and microwave), a washer and dryer, air conditioning, a fireplace, Wi-Fi, linens and cleaning service, and a deck overlooking the lake. That means you can cook in, do laundry mid-week and spend evenings by the fire instead of packing for a hotel room.
Resort Amenities
Shared amenities are geared toward lake days and easy outdoor time:
- Boat dock with slips and lakefront access
- Indoor swimming pool (bring your own towels)
- Outdoor tennis court, pickleball court and basketball half-court (bring your own equipment)
- Picnic areas with fire pits at the units
- Two parking spots at each unit, with overflow parking at the pool
How Ownership Works
Ownership is divided into one-week intervals on a calendar numbered 1 to 52, and owners check in on Fridays. Lakewood is a member of Interval International, so owners can exchange their weeks for stays at other resorts. The resort also takes stays from guests through its online booking.
