An Agency With Pittsburgh Roots
Liberty says it was founded in 1950 as a small startup on Liberty Avenue and describes itself as a second-generation, family-run, independent agency. Today it has more than 60 employees across its three offices and works with more than 20 insurance carriers. In March 2026 Liberty announced that Sturgeon Consulting, a safety and environmental consulting firm it had partnered with for 20 years, would become a division of the agency, adding services such as safety program management, OSHA compliance, workers' compensation consulting and training.
