Loch Lynn Church of God

Loch Lynn Church of God is a Pentecostal Church of God congregation at 8649 Gorman Road in Oakland. It offers Sunday and midweek worship, ministries for children, teens and older adults, a livestream for people who cannot attend in person, and a community food pantry.

Ministries for Every Age

The church's vision is "to win, train, equip and send," and its ministries are organized by stage of life:

• LL KIDZ for children from birth through 6th grade, using illustrated sermons, music, puppets, skits and video
• LL YOUTH for grades 7–12, with teaching, small-group study and worship
• Worship Ministry, including the Loch Lynn Choir, the worship team and special music
• LL Media Team, volunteers who run sound, cameras, lighting, livestream and screens each week
• Trailblazers for adults 55 and over, with special events and services through the year

Ivan and Cindy Ackerman serve as co-pastors, with dedicated children's and youth pastors on staff. Small groups and event sign-ups are handled through the church's online Church Center.

Beliefs and Livestream

The congregation follows the Church of God Declaration of Faith, which teaches the inspiration of the whole Bible, baptism in the Holy Spirit, water baptism by immersion, the Lord's Supper and foot washing. If you cannot make it in person, services are streamed on the church's YouTube channel.

The Food Pantry

Loch Lynn Church of God runs a food pantry and collects non-perishable donations year-round. You can drop off items such as cereal, dinner kits, canned vegetables and soup, peanut butter, or shelf-stable milk at the Welcome Center during any service. The church asks that donations not be expired or close to expiring.

New visitors can fill in the church's "I'm New" form online before their first Sunday, or call the office with questions.
