Market Square Shopping Center is the shopping plaza at 24586 Garrett Highway in McHenry, close to Deep Creek Lake. It brings groceries, a café, a bakery, souvenirs and home furnishings together in one parking lot, which is handy when you are stocking a lake house or running errands on the way back from the water.
Shops in the Plaza
The grocery anchor is Deep Creek Shop 'n Save, which the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce lists as Deep Creek Shop 'n Save Fresh featuring Mountain Flour Bakery. Mountain Flour Bakery makes pepperoni rolls, muffins, cookies and cakes. Bear Creek Traders is a souvenir and apparel store with Deep Creek Lake shirts, hats and mugs alongside clothing, toys, jewelry and décor, and Bear Creek Coffee & Creamery next door serves coffee, ice cream, baked goods and breakfast items.
Bungalow Deep Creek Lake opened in Units 107 and 108 in February 2024, selling furniture, accessories and décor in a modern resort style; it is a sister store to the owners' Palm Beach shop. In a 2024 LakeFront Magazine feature, the plaza also included Perkins, Tru South (outdoor and fishing apparel and gear), Deep Creek Salon and Massage, and Ursus Americanus Trading Post, a family-owned business selling furniture made from reclaimed barn wood.

According to LakeFront Magazine, Market Square is managed by Schurg Real Estate & Properties, which also manages several of the plaza's businesses, including the Shop 'n Save, Bear Creek Traders and Bear Creek Coffee & Creamery.
