About
The Maryland Department of Commerce is the state agency that works with businesses across Maryland, with its headquarters at the World Trade Center in Baltimore. Its Office of Regional Development connects Maryland businesses with Commerce programs, resources and partners, and its regional business development managers work directly with companies in their communities.
What the regional team does
Regional business development managers help businesses find programs, funding and other resources to support growth, plan expansions and get location assistance, reach workforce and training resources, make connections with customers, suppliers and business partners, and navigate Commerce programs along with other state and local resources. One regional business development manager covers Garrett, Allegany, Washington and Frederick counties.
