About
The Maryland Off-Highway Vehicle Alliance (MDOHVA) is an all-volunteer Maryland nonprofit and federally recognized 501(c)(3) organization that advocates for off-highway vehicle (OHV) recreation. Its stated vision is to be the leading advocate in Maryland for sustainable public and private OHV recreation areas and for responsible, safe riding, so that opportunities are available to everyone who wants to take part responsibly.
The alliance works to open off-road riding and wheeling areas in Maryland. It pursues opening public land for OHV use and creating public-private partnerships that open private land to public riding. According to its testimony to the Maryland General Assembly, it worked with the Department of Natural Resources to create off-road vehicle opportunities such as Wolf Den Run State Park. It also helped get off-road vehicle title tax funds transferred to the department to support those activities.
