Massage & Bodywork

Massage & Bodywork is a therapeutic massage practice in McHenry, in Suite 4 at 25203 Garrett Highway along the main road past Deep Creek Lake. Sessions are by appointment and suit anyone who needs to ease stress, work out chronic tension or recover after a day on the slopes or the water.

Services Offered

The practice builds most sessions around a few core options:

• Deep tissue massage uses slow, deliberate pressure on specific areas of tension.
• Custom massage blends Swedish and deep tissue techniques and can bring in other modalities, depending on what you need that day.
• Dead Sea mud wrap is a longer treatment meant to replenish minerals such as magnesium, potassium and calcium.
• Eco-fin treatment is a wax alternative that uses warming, moisturizing plant oils, which is useful for tired hands and feet.
• CBD is available as an add-on.

A sound healing table is listed as coming soon.

What a Session Includes

Sessions come with aromatherapy and a muscle rub, and they finish with an aloe vera herbal rubdown and hot towels. Extra towels, disposable slippers, pillows and bolsters are available if you ask, which helps if you need extra support to get comfortable on the table. The practice's booking profile lists therapist Heather Dawson, LMT, LPN, who describes more than 18 years of professional work with a focus on the head and neck and the hips and low back.
