Mountain Laurel Medical Center

Mountain Laurel Medical Center is a nonprofit community health center at 1027 Memorial Drive in Oakland that provides primary care and integrated behavioral health for people of all ages. As a federally qualified health center, it exists to give Garrett County residents access to quality care regardless of ability to pay.

Services Under One Roof

The Oakland practice brings several kinds of care together so you can handle more in a single visit:

• Primary medical care for infants through older adults, including pediatrics and immunizations
• Integrated behavioral health and outpatient mental health services
• Case management and nurse care coordination
• An onsite laboratory and community pharmacy
• Help with insurance enrollment

A 2023 renovation of the Oakland site added five behavioral health rooms, an imaging suite and improved access to the pharmacy. Interpretation services are available.

A Growing Regional Health Center

Formerly known as Western Maryland Health Care Corporation, Mountain Laurel operates a network of sites across Western Maryland and nearby West Virginia, including Grantsville, Westernport and Bruceton Mills. In 2024 the organization bought the former Grantsville Outreach Center on Hershberger Lane, and its expanded Grantsville office, with added exam rooms, therapy rooms and a community pharmacy, held its ribbon cutting in March 2026.
