Mt. Top Self Storage

Mt. Top Self Storage is a locally owned climate-controlled self-storage facility at 4547 Hutton Road in Oakland. Every unit is climate controlled, which suits furniture, documents and other belongings from homes around Oakland, Mountain Lake Park and Deep Creek Lake.

Security Inside the Building

Security was the first concern when the building went up. Entry is through a digital keypad with a personal access code, units use cylinder locks rather than padlocks so only you have access, and the building has a recorded video surveillance system plus 24/7 monitored fire and burglar alarms. Motion-detection cameras and motion-detection lighting cover the facility.

Moving In

Units come in small, medium and large sizes, and a size calculator on the website helps you pick one. Staff can help match a unit to what you are storing, and carts and dollies are available on site. The large parking lot has room for box vans, moving trucks and trucks with trailers.

Renting and Paying Online

You can rent a unit online and pay online any time, with recurring payments and reminders when a payment is coming due. The facility says it serves customers from Garrett and Allegany counties in Maryland and Preston County in West Virginia, including Accident, Grantsville and Kingwood.
