Nola's Salon

Nola's Salon is a full-service salon at 212 E Alder St in downtown Oakland. It covers hair, nails, waxing and eyelash extensions under one roof, which makes it a practical one-stop spot for women, men and kids. Its licensed stylists aim to give every client the style they are looking for.

Services Offered

The salon's menu covers a wide range:

• Cuts and styling: women's and men's cuts, beard trims, children's cuts (7 and under), shampoo and style, special blowouts, special-occasion styles and hair extensions
• Color and treatments: color, highlights, color correction, conditioning, straightening and hard-water treatments
• Nails: manicures, gel manicures, pedicures, Gel-X, the Dazzle Dry Nail System and nail art
• Waxing: brow, lip, chin, neck and full face
• Eyelash extensions: classic, hybrid, wet and volume sets

Hair extensions and color correction start with a consultation, so the stylist can plan the work with you before your appointment.

Meet the Team

Nola's lists a team of seven. Charlie Miller (licensed since 2001) focuses on classic cutting and coloring, and Alissa Gank specializes in color. Amy Canan holds certificates in Coppola keratin and Babe hair extensions, and Ashley Johnson is certified in Coppola keratin and Brazilian Blowout. Kierra Dewitt rounds out the hair team. Katy Roderick is the senior nail technician and is GiGi-certified in waxing, and esthetician Morgan McCarty focuses on lashes.

The salon works with brands including Kenra Color, Calura Gloss color, Moroccanoil, SEVEN, Malina straightening treatment, Hot Like Me, OPI polish, CND Shellac and Gel-X.
