About
Par Mar Stores is a regional convenience store chain, and its Oakland location at 458 Weber Rd pairs BP-branded fuel with snacks, cold drinks and grab-and-go food. It sits on Oakland's Weber Road commercial strip, an easy stop for locals and for visitors filling up on the way to Deep Creek Lake.
A Family Business That Grew Into a Chain
Par Mar traces back to Par Mar Oil Company, a petroleum distributor founded in 1967 by Joseph G. Grow and James L. Hollister. The convenience store side began in 1979, when Bill Hollister opened the first store, and the company adopted the Par Mar Stores name in the late 1980s. Today it operates more than 50 convenience stores and a group of quick-serve restaurants in the region.
What You Can Pick Up
Along with fuel at the pumps, the store stocks the usual convenience range of snacks, drinks and travel basics, plus prepared food to go. The Weber Road store is also listed for delivery through Uber Eats, which can help if you are settled at a rental and want snacks brought to you.
Pull in to fuel up and grab a bite before you head out to the lake.
