Phenix Technologies is a manufacturer of high voltage, high current and high power test systems at 75 Speicher Drive, Accident. It is now part of Doble Engineering Company, a subsidiary of ESCO Technologies, and its equipment is used by utilities, labs and industry to test electrical apparatus.
What Phenix Builds
Phenix designs and builds test equipment for checking insulation and electrical gear before it goes into service or back on line. Its range includes:
- AC resonant test systems for power cables, gas-insulated switchgear, capacitors and generator windings, from 15 kV up to 2 million volts
- Motor test systems for AC and DC motors up to 50,000 HP
- AC and DC hipot testers, kilovoltmeters and liquid dielectric test sets
- Transformer, circuit breaker and recloser test systems
- Testers for aerial lifts, insulated booms and rubber safety goods such as gloves, sleeves and blankets
Part of Doble
Doble Engineering, a power grid diagnostics company owned by ESCO Technologies, acquired the assets of Phenix Technologies and uses it to build out its high voltage testing line for the commercial and industrial sectors. Phenix manuals and software are on Doble's download pages, and support runs through Doble's technical support for high power test systems.
