Piece of You

Piece of You is a permanent jewelry and accessories studio at 970 Deep Creek Drive in McHenry, run by owner and permanent jewelry specialist Kaena. You choose a chain, pick where it goes, and she welds it closed into a seamless bracelet, anklet, necklace or ring that stays on without a clasp. It suits anyone marking a friendship, a family bond or a personal milestone, and it also works well for groups.

How a Permanent Jewelry Session Works

The process comes down to three steps: choose a chain, pick the placement, and get linked. Chains come in silver, gold and rose-gold tones, and you can add a charm from the selection on hand to make the piece your own. Kaena has welded matching pieces for best friends and mother-daughter pairs, as well as single pieces for people celebrating an achievement.

Private appointments are one-on-one sessions in the McHenry studio, and you are welcome to bring a friend or family member along so you can get linked together. Appointments are booked through the Book page on the website or by contacting the studio.

Parties, Weddings and Pop-Ups

Piece of You also brings its setup to you. Private events include birthday parties, girls' nights, holiday parties, bachelorette parties and bridal showers, plus wedding-day get-ready sessions and receptions, with each guest choosing a bracelet, anklet, ring or necklace. For public events the studio sets up at grand openings, corporate events, holiday parties, seasonal festivals and boutique or coffee shop pop-ups; the website also mentions Frostburg alongside Deep Creek Lake as an area it serves.

Jewelry and Hats to Take Home

Beyond permanent pieces, the online shop carries the POY Jewelry line (including an 18k gold PVD stainless steel charm necklace), personalized jewelry, and three hat lines: POY Hats with printed slogans, custom-printed trucker hats (such as ones made for bachelorette parties) and party hats. Gift cards are sold through the website too.

If you're planning a girls' weekend at the lake, it's worth reaching out ahead of time to set up a group session.
