Pillar Innovations is a turnkey industrial contractor headquartered at 200 Corporate Drive, Grantsville, in the Northern Garrett Industrial Park at I-68 Exit 19. It designs, builds and installs automation, electrical, communications and fire suppression systems for mining, manufacturing, utilities and other heavy industries.
From Beitzel Spin-Off to Multi-State Contractor
Pillar was founded in 2007, derived from its parent company, Beitzel Corporation, to focus on automation and electrical projects. Since then its work has grown to include engineering, custom machine building, communications, fiber optics, IoT and fire suppression. Pillar and its co-located sister company Beitzel are now 100% employee-owned. Besides Grantsville, Pillar has sales and service locations in West Virginia, Ohio, Tennessee, Indiana and New Mexico.
The Grantsville Facility
The Grantsville building covers 154,000 square feet and houses machine building, manufacturing, fiber optic, utility vehicle and fire suppression operations, plus a panel shop. Teams of designers, technicians and tradespeople handle jobs from one-off custom machines to large contract manufacturing runs for industries such as:

- Automotive and manufacturing plants
- Electric utilities and municipalities
- Oil and natural gas
Working at Pillar
Pillar hires both experienced workers and entry-level trainees, with apprenticeship and internship programs, and orientation classes for new hires are held at the Grantsville corporate office.
