Raccoon Lagoon is a 5-bedroom, 4.5-bath lakefront log cabin at 20598 Garrett Highway in Oakland that sleeps 14, owned and rented directly by its family owners. It's a four-season house, so it works for summer boating groups and winter ski trips alike, and up to two dogs can come along.
Inside the House
Set on the central part of the lake, the house has an open lake view from the backyard, living room, dining room, kitchen and game room, and the lower level holds a game room with a pool table, a smart TV, a gas fireplace, a wet bar and a full-size refrigerator. That setup gives a big group a second place to spread out, so the kids can play pool while the adults stay upstairs by the view. The house also has air conditioning.
Outdoor Spaces and Lake Access
- A private lakefront dock with a water seat, a ladder and cleats on both sides, maintained from Memorial Day through Labor Day
- A Sundance Aspen hot tub that seats seven to eight, with an open view of the lake
- A wraparound deck, a fire pit and a grill
The owners' site pitches the house for boating, water skiing and rafting in summer and for skiing, hiking and evenings by the fireplace or fire pit the rest of the year.
