Red Beard Scuba & Recovery

Red Beard Scuba & Recovery is a local dive business based in Oakland that teaches scuba courses and does underwater recovery work in the Deep Creek Lake area. It's useful to know about whether you'd like to learn to dive or need help getting something back from the bottom of the lake.

Dive Training

Red Beard Scuba & Recovery teaches PADI scuba certification courses, along with safety and first-aid courses. A certification card is what dive shops and charters generally ask to see before renting you gear or taking you out, so a course close to home is a practical first step if you're planning dives on a trip.

Underwater Recovery

The business also takes on underwater recovery jobs. If something valuable goes over the side of your dock or boat, a diver who knows the local water may be able to find it and bring it up, saving you from writing it off.

Before You Call

There's no storefront; the business works by phone and through its Facebook page. Call to talk through a course or to describe a recovery job, including roughly where the item went in.
